Celebrations at Hassocks Golf Club (Friday 30th October), East Brighton Golf Club (Saturday 31st October), and Indian summer Brighton (Sunday 1st November)

Diwali, often referred to as The Festival of Lights, is a five-day Hindu festival, which occurs on the fifteenth day of Kartika.  During Diwali, houses are thoroughly cleaned and windows are opened to welcome Laksmi, Goddess of wealth, in to people’s homes.  The festival is probably the largest South Asian festival on the calendar and represents to Hindus what Christmas and New Year does to Christians.

Diwali @ Hassocks Golf Club – Friday 30th October
The Indian Summer chefs will create a traditional Diwali menu consisting of regional Gujarati dishes. There will be a set menu of 3 courses.
The Summerhouse restaurant will be transformed with beautifully dressed staff, live music, Diwali quiz, dancing and the sumptuous smells of an Indian banquet.  This special set menu costs £20 ppn.  Fireworks display included!

Diwali @ East Brighton Golf Club – Saturday 31st October
New to Indian summer this year. Conveniently located, The Indian Summer chefs will create a traditional Diwali menu consisting of regional Gujarati dishes. There will be a set menu of 3 courses. Diwali @ Indian Summer: Brighton – Sunday 1st November
The annual festivities have become something of an institution at the Brighton restaurant and the evening usually sells out well in advance.  There will be live music and dancing, the annual Diwali quiz, beautifully dressed staff and a special Diwali menu alongside the usual Indian Summer delights all at £19.95 for 3 courses.
